I have known from a very early age that I wanted to pursue a life long career in education. My career began as a school teacher, but after being involved in offering professional development workshops to my colleagues I realized that developing educators impacts students. I then began to look at options of how I could contribute to education in ways that had bigger impact. One such immediate goal was returning to graduate school. Participating in a three year research study recently as a co - PI, has really got me interested in research. An ideal position that would match my career goals would be a combination of teaching, research and community involvement. This position is in the Victoria, TX area and will require travel to other program locations. This appointment is a nine-month appointment with possible additional opportunities for summer teaching. HSE seeks candidates with expertise and experience in implementation of learning innovations to improve instruction, including technology implementation. ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR – University of West Georgia

 

Earned doctorate in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a closely related field with knowledge of learning theories, instructional design, technology integration, assessment, evaluation, and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Candidates must have the ability to teach graduate courses in Instructional Technology including IT theories and practices, technology integration across content areas, and media production (e.g., multimedia, video). Candidates must have an established research/publication agenda. The successful candidate must also possess the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and teach in online and other distance-relevant formats. Candidates must be able to advise students in graduate-level research projects. Candidates must be able to take a leadership role in state and national professional organizations.
